Y2Y Activities

Leading a healthy and productive life, given the challenges that many young people face, requires access to appropriate information and services, as well as the development of decision-making and interpersonal skills.

The Y2Y programme has designed a broad range of activities aimed at improving young people's sexual and reproductive health, self-esteem and social participation. Although the specific implementation of activities varies from country to country where Y2Y is established, the activities themselves are uniformly designed. Peer education – education of young people by young people – is the cornerstone of the Y2Y programme.

Unlike in many other sexual education programmes, young people are not simply involved in the activities, but take the lead in all stages of design, implementation and monitoring.
